Menu Plan Monday – 3-28-2011

Menu Plan Monday!
Monday:  Pasta day!  Frozen ravioli on markdown ($2), pasta sauce made with cheap tomatoes and red sauce and good hamburger meat ($2.50), with a side salad ($2) and garlic bread if I make it to the store ($1.50).  Cheap, easy and good.  Cost:  About $8. *Again because we skipped it last week.

Tuesday: Taco Tuesday! Soft tacos, spanish rice, and refried beans.  Ground beef is $5, tortillas $1, cheese $.50, sour cream $.50 and veggies $1.  Rice, rotel, and refried beans were free with coupons.  Cost will be about $8.  *Prices are going up.

Wednesday: Crockpot meal!  BBQ Pork.  Throw 2 lbs or so of pork loin in the crockpot with a bottle of free barbeque sauce.  Serve on buns with french fries.  Easy as anything.  😀 Cost:  Under $5.    I overestimated myself.  It was a fend for yourself after I finished my volunteer shift.  :)
Thursday: New Recipe Day! I haven’t found one that just makes my skirt fly up, but I’ll edit when I find something.  Maybe? 
Friday:  Freezer Meal! Time to have a freezer buffet.  We’ve got a bunch of small things that need to be eaten up, so everyone can pick and choose.
Saturday:  Fend for yourself/clean out the fridge/freezer day.
Sunday:  Soup and sandwiches.
